Only current graduate students in good academic standing who mentor an undergraduate in the HHMI Learning Communities program or the SMART program are eligible to apply. Graduate students who have exhausted their lifetime cap of $1000 are not eligible.
Graduate mentors may receive up to $500 for mentoring during the summer.
The mentor must submit the online application.
For mentoring in the Summer, May 15.
Graduate Student Mentor Award
OUR has developed a non-compensated award to recognize graduate student mentoring called the Graduate Student Mentor Award (GSMA). Recipients of a GSMA will be recognized by OUR at either OUR’s Fall Reception or at the Celebration of Undergraduate Research. If you would like to be considered for a GSMA, you will need to submit that application form.
