The Office for Undergraduate Research is constantly looking for ways to enrich the services we offer to students. As more students choose to pursue research activities, undergraduates will continue to play an important role in providing feedback on the Office’s programs, projects and initiatives.
The OUR Student Ambassador program is one way undergraduate students can get involved and help expand the undergraduate research culture at Carolina. If you have undergraduate research experience, watch for the spring application process and consider applying to be an Ambassador.
Consider submitting an entry for the OUR Blog. OUR accepts submissions from any member of the UNC community (e.g. undergraduates, graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty, staff, and alumni) on the undergraduate research experience. If accepted, your post will be featured on the OUR Blog. Submit entries to firstname.lastname@example.org with “Blog Submission” in the subject line.
Additionally, the Office for Undergraduate Research holds a symposium each April to celebrate and showcase the work of undergraduates. In the past, the symposium has been co-sponsored by research-oriented campus organizations, and the Office welcomes interested organizations to join in putting together this celebratory event. Individual students who wish to get a behind-the-scenes glance into the types and array of projects undergraduates have pursued in the past year can also consider volunteering to serve as hosts and support staff for this event.
Consider making a gift to support OUR. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us provide opportunities for student researchers.
