McNair Scholars Program: May 20 Deadline

The Ronald E. McNair Post Baccalaureate Achievement Program (McNair Scholars Program) is pleased to announce that space is still available in our current cohort for talented undergraduates interested in pursuing doctoral studies. The McNair Scholars Program offers an excellent path to help students earn a Ph.D., pursue research, teach, and/or become faculty members in their field!
The program is currently recruiting rising seniors (Class of 2023) can will begin program activities with an 8-week research internship during Summer 2022 followed by an academic year long curriculum where they will receive faculty mentorship, graduate school application support, GRE preparation, professional training, exposure to cultural activities, and the opportunity to earn up to $5,000 in stipends. Prospective applicants MUST meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Be first-generation AND low-income
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Be enrolled as a full-time student at UNC-Chapel Hill and rising senior
- Be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident
