State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research & Creativity Symposium

09/15/2021

Colleges, universities and community colleges in North Carolina host a symposium each year to showcase N.C. undergraduate student research and creative work. The State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research & Creativity Symposium (SNCURCS) provides undergraduate scholars in all fields a forum to share the results of their work through posters, presentations, performances, and works of art. The North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (NCICU), Elon University, Catawba College, and Livingstone College are co-hosting the live virtual event on Nov. 13, 2021 with a preview day on Nov. 12, 2021.

Have you worked with a faculty mentor on a research project? Have you created a work of art under the direction of a faculty mentor? Have you written a research essay that you would like to publish in an undergraduate journal? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then SNCURCS is the place for you! Talk to your faculty mentor about attending SNCURCS, and then submit an abstract. Once your abstract is submitted, you will prepare your presentation and upload it before the event.

If you’re interested in seeing what undergraduate researchers are doing in our state, but you aren’t ready to present your own work yet, you can still attend. Abstract submissions for this year’s event will be accepted September 13 – October 15, 2021. Details and submission forms here
