Welcome to the 2024 State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research & Creativity Symposium!

SNCURCS (pronounced as ‘snickers’) provides undergraduate scholars in all fields a forum to share the results of their work through posters, presentations, performances, and works of art.

The first State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium was held in November 2005, marking its 20th year in 2024. Celebrate this milestone with us as we recognize the hard work and dedication of over 300 students through this event.  The presentations you can view here represent countless hours of work in the library, the laboratory, the studio, the field, and even the classroom by students representing institutions of higher learning across the state of North Carolina.

To accommodate student schedules during end of the semester classes, study periods, and final exams, there will be no live/timed events for SNCURCS 2024. Student participants have uploaded their pre-recorded presentations for viewing at any time from December 4 through December 17. To watch presentations, visit SNCURCS’s website. This site allows attendees to engage with student projects from anywhere in the world at any time!  We recommend scheduling a time that works best for you to visit and enjoy the wealth of exciting student projects!
