Description
The Animal Models Core facility is seeking a student to work part-time in our animal facility in support of our efforts to generate genetically engineered rodent models for researchers. The student will receive training in laboratory animal handling and will assist with breeding, weaning, collecting tissue biopsy samples, surgical prep and assisted reproductive technologies such as sperm cryopreservation, embryo cryopreservation and in vitro fertilization. This is a great opportunity for sophomore, junior or senior undergraduates interested in biomedical or veterinary research. Hours are flexible. The position is a part-time, on-campus, paid position with TransViragen, the company that manages the Animal Models Core.
