Description
We are imaging the cochlea of the inner ear of gerbils using light sheet fluorescence microscopy (LSFM). This new imaging technique allows for a 3D visualization of an entire cochlea and observation of cells that are fluorescently labeled by immunological or tract-tracing techniques. We have a need for a motivated student to assist in the development of techniques for quantification of the labeled cells and identification of cells that a double or triple labeled by different antibodies or tracers.
