Why do research as an undergraduate?
You get hands-on experience that will open up many new doors to graduate school
or a future job.
You get to learn about science by being a part of a community and becoming a
member of a lab family. Research also gives back to our communities by addressing
important societal issues, to better our lives.
Depending on the lab, both remote and in-person work is possible!
Most positions are voluntary to begin with, but some labs offer opportunities for
work study and/or research course credit in PSYC/NSCI 395, especially after one
semester of work.

Please contact the lab you are interested in the flyer or the “research supervisor” Taylor West at taywest@live.unc.edu
for more information about our Open House event OR research opportunities in social psychology
