Software Developer (3D Models) for Pedagogical Research in Virtual Reality Language project
Position Overview:
The Software Developer role is a part time job during Fall 2021, with a possibility to continue later semesters. This individual will be building the software of the educational virtual reality project we are creating with a team of other developers. We will work with an agile approach, therefore the general workflow of the developer will be (1) Meet every other week with the curriculum development team who will describe their ideas and expected outcomes of the software (2) The developers will get together as a team and share the tasks (3) The developers will then independently work on their assigned tasks and build the experience in Mozilla Spoke. Every two weeks this process will be repeated.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate with a diverse team of undergraduates and faculty coming from a variety of disciplines
Get experience in a agile project, which is a skill most companies look out for
Work with other developers knowledgeable about AR/VR development, and learn from them in the process
What You’ll Need:
Time and work commitment to the project
Good communication and teamwork skills
Interest in virtual reality and immersive learning
(preferred) Prior exposure to Mozilla Hubs and Mozilla Spoke
What You’ll Get:

$15 per hour payment
