Suggested Fields
Post Date
10/26/2020
Description

The DEPENd Lab is seeking undergraduate research assistants with strong programming backgrounds. Those with substantial training and experience in computer science, data science, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Our lab studies neurocomputational mechanisms of learning, decision-making, and emotion in those with and without personality disorders. To study these topics, we use a variety of techniques including functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), computational modeling, physiological recording, and diverse behavioral methods. Programming plays an integral role in all phases of our research, being essential for the development of experimental tasks and for data processing, management, and analysis. Students in this position will have the opportunity to apply their programming knowledge to tackle challenges in these areas, making key contributions to our research. Advanced students may also elect to complete a senior honors thesis while in the lab. Interested students can apply here: https://unc.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0xptQOYVokIhvpP. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at dependlab@unc.edu.
