Undergraduate research assistant
The Flick lab in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine investigates the role of the coagulation and fibrinolytic system in inflammatory, infectious, and malignant diseases. For this position, we are looking for an undergraduate interested in supporting our studies on the role of coagulation in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) tumor progression and dissemination using in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo models. This project will require developing skills in a variety of molecular biology and biochemistry techniques as well as animal models, including but not limited to rodent husbandry, PCR-based genotyping, cell culture, and tissue embedding. We seek an undergraduate student interested in biomedical science and cancer. The position starts in January 2025.
