Though the Felsenstein model paved the way for research on sympatric speciation and its constraints, our model attempts to use the parameters set to compare speciation and equilibrium allele frequencies on a three-island, stepping-stone model with speciation and changing allele frequencies on a two-island model. Our model will consider new migratory variables and a new pattern of movement that will lead to a clearer understanding of how speciation in a stepping-stone model occurs.
