AMWHO is UNC Chapel Hill’s branch of the American World Health Organization. We will host an annual, international conference where students assume the roles of WHO ambassadors, NGOs, media correspondents, and industry representatives to participate in a simulation of the World Health Assembly. Students can engage in riveting debates and discussions about global health challenges.

The 2024 AMWHO International Conference will be held April 5th-7th, 2024, and will be centered around this year’s theme of “Rectifying Historical and Contemporary Discriminations and Oppressions Undermining Global Health.” For more information on the details of this incredible opportunity, please read more on our AMWHO website. Early registration for the 2024 AMWHO International Conference is open until January 31st at a discounted price of $55 for UNC students. Please use this link to register through Eventzilla!

Additionally, join our Outlook Group and Group Me to stay up to date on General Body Meetings (GBMs), Conference, and more. We will be hosting GBMs throughout this spring semester, where UNC students can meet new friends, gain leadership opportunities, and pursue an interest in Public Health while preparing for a conference! If you have any questions, please reach out to our Campus Co-Directors, Annabelle Gallinek (abgg@unc.edu) and Shreya Kusumanchi (skusumanchi@unc.edu).
