State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium

10/24/2022

The University of North Carolina Wilmington will be hosting an in-person State of North Carolina Undergraduate Research and Creativity Symposium (SNCURCS) on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Colleges, universities and community colleges in North Carolina host a symposium each year to showcase N.C. undergraduate student research and creative work. SNCURCS provides undergraduate scholars in all fields a forum to share the results of their work through posters, presentations, performances, and works of art. For 2022, there is no registration fee.

Have you worked with a faculty mentor on a research project? Have you created a work of art under the direction of a faculty mentor? Have you written a research essay that you would like to publish in an undergraduate journal? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then SNCURCS is the place for you! Talk to your faculty mentor about attending SNCURCS, and then submit an abstract. If you’re a sophomore in North Carolina, you’re also eligible for the Barthalmus Research Grant to support ongoing undergraduate research.

Please see here for the full SNCURCS website. Students can submit their abstracts HERE. Abstracts are due by 11:59 p.m., October 26, 2022. Afterwards, student presenters, faculty mentors, administrators, and other guests can register for SNCURCS HERE. Registration must be completed by 11:59 p.m., November 7, 2022.
