UNC-CH undergraduates collaborated on a study that has been published in Nature Communications

Several UNC-CH undergraduates’ research was recently published in the journal Nature Communications. Their study was funded through a grant from the UNC School of Medicine and UNC Health, and they collaborated with Wubin Bai, an assistant professor in the Department of Applied Physical Sciences, and Juan Song, a professor in the Department of Pharmacology.

Bai described the “passionate involvement” of Priyash Hafiz, an student in the Department of Applied Physical Sciences, and Brayden Davis, Will Lipman, Tian Wang, and Sicheng Xing, all students in the UNC/NCSU Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering, as essential to this study. Together, the team developed a wearable drug patch that could be promising for Alzheimer’s treatment.
