Volunteer Undergraduate Research Assistant

Post Date
05/13/2024
Description

The Cognition & Addiction Behavioral Neuroscience Lab (CAB LAB) is seeking undergraduate research assistants to help with a new study in the lab examining the effects of transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) on behavioral flexibility mediated through frontal E/I balance in high-risk adult drinkers with or without a history of adolescent alcohol misuse and low risk drinkers. Research assistants are expected to help with participant recruitment, scheduling, data collection, and data organization. Research assistants will have the opportunity to observe and assist with tACS, EEG, fMRI, specimen collection, and behavioral procedures. Our procedures typically take place during normal business hours, and we ask for a minimum availability of 8 hours/week. This is a volunteer position (no course credit) for the first summer/semester. Opportunities to complete a research project for course credit are available after successful completion of the first summer/semester of volunteering with us.

If you are interested or have questions, please email cablab@unc.edu with your resume/CV, a cover letter, and general availability. Prior research experience is not necessary.
