The obesity rate in America has increased over the past few decades, affecting 40% of its population. There is, however, a major reason for this problem: a lack of motivation for physical activity. This paper examines how intrinsic motivation affects physical activity, using the theoretical concepts of structural and psychological empowerment to understand the role personal empowerment plays in promoting positive behaviors. This study focuses on GenZ individuals in the United States. In order to conduct the research, 338 Generation Z individuals were surveyed. Structural equation modeling is used to test the model. In our research, we found that psychological empowerment mediates the relationship between structural empowerment and physical activity intention._x000D_
