This research is centered around the textile industry of Mauritius, an African island country. As the effect of globalization on Mauritius increases, it is hypothesized that workers' rights decrease. The research focuses on and explains EPZ zones of Mauritius, Export Processing Zones, and uses characteristics and data from these since over 90% of the EPZs are comprised of textiles. The independent variable is FDI/GDP for the textile industry in Mauritius, a measure of globalization. The dependent variables are different measures of workers' rights.
