Remote Volunteer Research Assistant

Post Date
09/06/2022
Description

The Internet Tobacco Vendors Study is a large-scale national study of the sales and marketing practices of websites that sell tobacco and nicotine products. The study assesses compliance with new and forthcoming federal regulations affecting these sales, with a focus on reductions in tax evasion and youth access and has a direct impact on informing state and federal policies affecting public health.

Our team is looking for volunteer undergraduate research assistants to assist with data collection. All work is done remotely and will require access to an internet connection and a computer. Training is provided.

An interest in tobacco or health policy is a plus but not required. Our ideal candidates are those looking to gain hands-on experience with the research process in a real-world setting.

If interested, please complete the online application form here: https://go.unc.edu/Pd27K. After completing the online application, please send your resume to our Undergraduate Research Assistant Manager, Mr. Jessie Scott: jscott36@email.unc.edu. Don’t hesitate to email if you have any questions.
