Research Assistant in a Clinical Psychology Research Lab Studying Adversity in Children and Adolescents (Volunteer Position)
The CIRCLE Lab at UNC in the Psychology and Neuroscience Department is looking for motivated undergraduate research assistants to join our team who are interested in graduate school in a social science discipline (psychology, social work, education), medical school, or allied disciplines. This opportunity is posted for Fall 2023, however, we prefer to recruit those who are interested in longer-term commitment to the lab to support their career development goals.

If you are applying to work in our lab, we require that you are able to commit at least 8-10 hours per week. In addition to learning more about adversity exposure in childhood and brain development, opportunities include:
– Observing and quantitatively analyzing parent/child interactions
– Assisting with a meta-analysis on fear learning
– Assisting with in-person MRI visits
– fMRI Image Analysis
– Recruiting participants into the STTAR study
– Editing structural brain MRI images in FreeSurfer
Additionally, all research assistants will also gain experience with data entry and data management projects. For more detailed descriptions regarding each open position, please see our application (linked below).
