Undergraduate Hourly Lab Position in Image Processing
The Coherence Imaging Laboratory, directed by Prof. Amy Oldenburg, is seeking a currently enrolled UNC undergraduate majoring in Physics, BME, Applied Sciences, or similar for an hourly paid position to assist in anatomic optical coherence tomography (aOCT) data processing, image analysis, and image segmentation. Candidates must be experienced in MATLAB programming. The position will initially require a commitment of at least 6 hours per week during normal business hours; flexibility may be possible later in the semester with after-hours work acceptable. Students must be able to commit to a majority of the fall semester (late August – early December) and may start the position earlier if they wish. The position may be extended into future semesters and may involve increasing responsibilities if mutually agreeable. The student will be mentored by a postdoc and graduate student in the laboratory and will have opportunities to observe ongoing imaging experiments.
